I am exhilarated to learn that The Famous Five come in the second place in your favorite food scenes in Children's literature. In fact,
I have a segment sub-titled, "Food in Blytonian Literature" in my book on Enid Blyton, titled, The Famous Five: A Personal Anecdotage (Wwww.bbotw.com).

I'd add the Mad Hatter's tea party... Carroll original version cos the Burton one, while very very cool, was a bit too creepy to be in the same list as Marilla's cooking.
